What if politicians were civil servants? What if the government was run by career employees? What if government was run on the basis of best person for the job?
You certainly cannot have the best person for the job by electing people via programmed machines that can be reprogrammed at the will of whatever group is in power who has as an objective and is able to control what voting machines are used and thus who is allowed to modify their results when called on to do so. The people who do not deserve to be in office, who do not deserve to run government, who cannot run government productively - these are the people who were competent enough to trick those who vote into voting for them and if they fail at that, then the added capacity to produce false votes attains the objective. And, there you have it. The wrong people in precisely the jobs where the wrong people are in charge of matters that severely affect the well being of us all.
Imagine, and I hesitate here, but, imagine, imagine all the money politicians spend to maintain their posture, their position, their image Image of what? Someone who can get a job done? I do not think so. You might say, well, the politician’s job is talking to people, negotiating with people, persuading people. Add mountebanking, arranging deals with lobbyists, ensuring the power position of others in and out of government who do not do the job you and I want done either. So much wouldn’t be necessary if theI government corporation was run by qualified people with some experience in doing that job with multiple skills to accomplish successfully over an over what has to be done. And in an
If the politician’s job was to get a job done, to do a job, not to buy preen and posture, then they would not have to demonstrate their importance. Their importance would be realigned to extend their ability to do the job. So juvenile is the inability or the refusal to grow up — not just the politician but you and I who allow the politican to exist.
I am Their families have excellent healthcare, though the constituents may never reach that level of health care quality and availability. They do not have this healthcare only while they are in on this. But for ever, for ever, forever. Politicians can grant themselves increases in salaries that are almost as rediculous as top business executive. Either way — you pay for it. Incredible salaries beyond what any one needs is not just criminal in so many ways. It is unprofitable, and unhealthy for the society is so many ways. If politicians were salaried career employees, then they would have less opportunity them to complEment, to amplify their overall income via the built-in benefits that are extended to them as and elected politicians.
The point here is that the opportunity for corruption would would be diminished, if not eliminated, by having the politicians as part of the civil servant force, as government employees.
Don’t you suppose that it is incredibly frustrating for career government employees when a politician comes in who requires pampering and coddling, who has to spend his time bowing and kowtowing to this person who is in a different caste.
Assuming computers were running systems programmed to run government for the well being of the constituency, imagine all that could be accomplished by paying for that instead of paying for political corruption.
Legislation would be simple. Throw all the possible variables into the software and compute the best path.
Could that really be done? well, not overnight. But assume we all started thinking in that direction.
Assume we all started believing that well being is achievable. Assume we all started thinking that Utopia is possible.
Assume we all started thinking that crime is not necessary in government.
Assume we all started thinking that crime is not necessary in general.
Not overnight. But just start … … …
No more heroes. No more promises.
For now, let’s just eliminate some ticks, not some ticks but many (polly) ticks.
Vote out the sinecure. Vote in the sincere.
What if you could replace all the politicans of today with the people who wanted well being?
Would you?
I didn’t think so. Go back to your couch, potato. Have some more popcorn.
